Chomarat Invests in Coating and Film Business: New Extruder, New Grinding Line
Chomarat is developing its Coatings and Film business at French facilities. The group has acquired an extruder and a grinding line to increase production capacities and develop new, more efficient solutions, particularly in the TPO (thermoplastic polyolefins) sector.
These two technological investments are part of a EUR 35 million investment plan announced by the group in mid-2017.
Expanded Offering with New Grinding Line
The grinding line gives texture to coated textile products and provides differentiation in appearance or functionality such as non-slip or durability properties. Chomarat Coatings & Film Director Philippe Chomarat shared the following: "We will use this new technology to expand the range of materials we process (including the production of TPO layers with or without backing) and improve the perceived quality with better grinding definition. This technological investment enables the group to increase its production capacities and offer new solutions for the automotive and luxury handbag markets".Advertisement
