Leading Figures in the Chemical Sector Gathered on the First Day of the ChemSupplier Virtual Summit!

The first day of the summit, held on 8 June, opened with keynote remarks from Neville Prior, President of the European Association of Chemical Distributors (FECC), and Adil Pelister, Chairman of the Board of the İstanbul Chemical Substances and Products Exporters Association (İKMİB). In the first session of the summit's opening day, moderated by Hasan Şerefhan, Technical Plant Director at DYO Construction Paints, industry participants convened to discuss "Developments in Raw Material Production in Turkey and Worldwide". The panel included Deniz Yıldırım, Vice President of Commercial Operations at Organik Kimya; Onur Kipri, General Manager of Akkim Kimya; Rami Atikoğlu, General Manager of BASF Turkey and Head of the Turkey/Azerbaijan Country Group; and Selçuk Denizligil, General Manager of Polisan Kimya. In the second session of the day, moderated by Necati Hakoğlu, Senior Management Consultant, participants gathered to evaluate "Developments in Raw Material Supply Management". The panel featured Erhan Tutunan, General Manager of Univar Solutions Turkey and EMEA Rubber and Plastics Manager; Ferda Efe, Turkey and Middle East President of Brenntag Kimya Tic. Ltd. Şti.; Özlem Düzyatan, Procurement Director of DYO Paint Factories; and Süleyman Gökdemir, Procurement Director of Evyap. The first day of ChemSupplier's "Supply Management in the Chemical Sector Virtual Summit" concluded with strong attendance and engagement. The summit will continue on 9 June with a rich program featuring visionary speakers addressing "2020 Sector Review and 2021 Expectations", "Developments in Logistics Management in Supply", and "How to Manage Supply Processes After the Pandemic", assessing developments and challenges in the sector and discussing solutions.
