Brenntag acquires Quimica Delta
Brenntag strengthens its market presence in Mexico by acquiring Quimica Delta and gaining access to key tollgate infrastructure.
Brenntag, a global market leader in chemicals and specialty ingredients distribution, announced the acquisition of Quimica Delta, a leading distributor of basic chemicals with access to tollgates in Mexico and operating a dense network of final-mile operations in central Mexico.
Founded in 1974, Quimica Delta's main facility is located in Teoloyucan, close to Mexico City and major customers in central Mexico. Possessing a portfolio of various industrial chemical products, Quimica Delta is recognized for its long-standing relationships with global supply partners in Mexico.
The company has access to seaport infrastructure at Altamira, which serves as a strategic gateway for chemicals primarily imported from the United States, and also operates several rail terminals. Quimica Delta generated sales of USD 368 million in 2023.
