Boytorun Architects Designs Social and Dynamic Office

Boytorun Architects, which has designed numerous architectural and interior design projects for corporate firms across different regions of Turkey, is transforming Recordati's office into an open, collaborative work space characterized by tranquility and dynamism integrated within a functional framework. Founded by architect Yudum Boytorun and architect Semih Boytorun, Boytorun Architects has created an airy space at Italy-based pharmaceutical company Recordati's headquarters office in Turkey through the use of transparent dividers throughout the space, walls painted in light tones, and work areas positioned along glass edges. In addition to the office layout, the firm has designed open work areas, providing employees with a freedom-oriented environment free from monotony. At the Recordati Office in Maslak Building Office, which spans two floors and covers 1,500 m², Boytorun Architects has positioned core units such as restrooms and IT facilities at the center of the overall design, with office areas along the facade. The use of transparent dividers in executive offices and meeting rooms, combined with work areas in the office layout and open work spaces, has created an airy feel in the Recordati Office. The project features a modern and flexible design, with striking accents created through the selective use of the company's corporate color. At the Recordati Office, light-colored wall paints, used to reinforce the building's transparent facade, allow employees to benefit fully from natural sunlight. Transparent dividers, with film coatings that recall molecular arrangements, help break up monotony. The sandstone color used in the furniture creates a harmonious appearance with all design elements without overwhelming the space. Sliding folding panels in the meeting rooms provide both functional use and aesthetic appeal, while the increased use of black and wood materials in the executive offices distinguishes them from the work areas. Boytorun Architects brings movement to the office by highlighting the company's corporate color red in various locations such as the reception area at the entrance, benches between cabinets, and films on the carpentry. The reception desk, which resembles a crystal in its design, has become a striking welcome point.

Wooden slats used on the ceiling and in various cabinets have created a warm atmosphere in the space.

The monotony of the ceiling is broken by the arrangement of fixtures among different materials and wooden slats, while a striking accent has been created in the circulation areas through a specially designed fixture above the stairwell that provides efficient lighting. Boytorun Architects has opted for naturally-looking materials on the floor, aiming to achieve an elegant appearance through their arrangement pattern and create fluidity. The office and common areas are separated both by flooring and ceiling, ensuring the office is spatially well-defined. Rest areas created for approximately 100 employees working at the Recordati Office have been distributed throughout the office rather than confined to a single location, creating more dynamic and interactive social spaces. Felt-covered benches have been installed between cabinets arranged along the corridor to break up the monotony while also creating pleasant rest areas.
