Paint and Raw Material Industry Comes Together at Bosad's Sector Meeting
The Association of Paint Manufacturers (Bosad) held a sector meeting on 09 January 2019 at the Kozyatağı Hilton Hotel to assess economic developments in 2018 and their impact on the industry, as well as expectations for 2019.
The meeting began with an opening speech by Bosad Board Chairman Ahmet Yiğitbaşı. Artkim Grup Marketing Manager Aslıhan Kaya made important assessments regarding 2018 through a paintİstanbul&Turkcoat 2020 Fair & Congress Project Presentation.
Following a presentation of the İKMİB / UR-GE Project titled Supporting the Development of International Competitiveness, Economist Fatih Keresteci delivered a speech on "Global Developments and the Turkish Economy 2018-2019".
Bosad Board Chairman Ahmet Yiğitbaşı made important comments regarding the paint sector, stating "Until 2017 we were ranked fifth in paint production, but with the contraction in 2018 we have fallen to seventh or eighth place. Since official figures have not yet been announced, estimates are being provided."
Economist Fatih Keresteci, emphasizing that investments in 2019 should be carried out through rigorous feasibility studies rather than hearsay, noted that a national economy approach is becoming increasingly widespread worldwide as an alternative to globalization.
At the organization which attracted significant interest from industry representatives, domestic and foreign economic and commercial developments linked to the paints and raw materials industry, and solutions to sectoral and professional issues arising from these developments were extensively discussed.
The organization continued with a cocktail following the views and assessments of Bosad members.
