GOTS Seminar to Be Held in İzmir on 18 February 2019

Global Organic Textile Standard, GOTS, has been organizing international and regional events since 2015. The regional seminar in Izmir is a full-day event. The event, which will bring together global speakers who founded GOTS and established the standard, along with industry-leading experts, brands, social and chemical compliance specialists, certification bodies and manufacturers, has been designed to create the most suitable environment for experience and idea exchange. This one-day seminar, structured to encourage discussion and presentations, will also address important issues related to the organic textile industry. Participants will have the opportunity to hear best practices in the field of ecological and sustainable textiles and equip themselves with the latest information on the subject. GOTS was developed by the world's leading international standard-setting organizations: the Organic Trade Association (USA), Japan Organic Cotton Association (JOCA), International Association of the Natural Textile Industry (IVN, Germany) and Soil Association (UK), which came together to establish an international working group, bringing globally determined requirements in organic textiles under a single standard framework.
