Ahmet Yiğitbaşı Re-elected as Chairman of the Paint Manufacturers Association

Ahmet Yiğitbaşı Reelected as Chairman of BOSAD Ahmet Yiğitbaşı was reelected to the position of Board Chairman at the VIII. Regular General Assembly Meeting of the Paint Manufacturers Association BOSAD, held on 25 May 2017. As a result of the elections held at the VIII. Regular General Assembly of BOSAD, the sole professional organization of the Turkish paints and raw materials sector, the following were elected to board member positions: Altuğ Akbaş, M. Akın Akçalı, Kenan Baytaş, Cemal Drahor, Mustafa Deryal, R. Şükrü Ergün, Levend Kokuludağ, Semih Kılıç, Tayfun Küçükoğlu, Erol Mizrahi, Serdar Oran, Feridun Uzunyol and Ahmet Yiğitbaşı. The following were elected to audit board member positions: Dilek Çolakoğlu, Mustafa Konya and Ersin Yıldırım. Ahmet Yiğitbaşı, who has served as Chairman of the Paint Manufacturers Association (BOSAD) since 2015 and was reelected, stated in his closing remarks that the upcoming working period would represent a new milestone for BOSAD. He also noted that work will continue to make the sector an attraction center within the framework of the objective for our paints industry to become a regional production and investment hub, and said they will implement significant projects in the coming period aimed at growth of the Turkish paints market. Ahmet Yiğitbaşı, who has served on the board as a founding member since 2003, studied Mechanical Engineering at Aachen University of Technology (Germany). He completed his master's degree in Fuel Engineering. Born in İzmir in 1958, Yiğitbaşı began his career in 1987 at Union Kraftstoff in Germany and served as Deputy General Manager and General Manager at Botaş Ambalaj San. A.Ş. between 1990-1996. Between 1996-2001, he worked as Vice President responsible for different business units—Automotive, Industrial, Construction Paints and Printing Inks—within Yaşar Holding Paint and Chemistry Group, and served as Group President between 2001-2015. Since 2015, he has served as Board Member at DYO Boya A.Ş, Toyo Printing Inks A.Ş and Desa Energy A.Ş. He served as Board Trustee Member and Vice Chairman at Yaşar University between 2003-2010 and has served as Board Chairman since 2010.
