BeautyEurasia Delivers a Successful Trade Fair
The 15th International Cosmetics, Beauty and Hairdressing Fair BeautyEurasia, organized by Platform Uluslararası Fuarcılık under ITE Turkey, took place successfully on 20-22 June at Istanbul Fair Centre.
The fair hosted 367 participating companies from 33 countries and 11,786 visitors from 130 countries. Increasing the number of international visitors by 51% compared to the previous year, the 15th International Cosmetics, Beauty and Hairdressing Fair BeautyEurasia, prepared in line with user expectations in the cosmetics and beauty sectors, presented products to visitors according to developing beauty and cosmetics trends.
Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu, who attended the fair's opening event, noted that this was his first attendance at a fair with participants from 36 countries, and with the words "I have participated in many opening ceremonies in my political and commercial life. I am experiencing the excitement, joy and pride of attending for the first time a fair of this scale in Istanbul, this beautiful city, where 36 countries are represented," drew attention to the importance of the BeautyEurasia cosmetics fair.Fair Director Filiz Mehmedova, expressing satisfaction that the International Cosmetics, Beauty and Hairdressing Fair BeautyEurasia was being organized for the 15th time, stated the following:
"At the fair, we provided participants with an environment to meet with beauty and cosmetics professionals, gain information about the cosmetics sector in Turkey, and develop commercial activities with manufacturers and institutions.
Additionally, the fair, through its VIP Overseas Buying Delegation programs this year, hosted over 80 professional buyers from countries such as Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Ghana, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Russia, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Moldova, the Netherlands, Peru, Serbia, Spain, Ukraine and India, creating opportunities for new partnerships.
Important representatives of the global cosmetics industry were among these names. For the first time this year, through the ITE Connect Matchmaking Program, all participants, visitors and hosted buyers had the opportunity to expand their networks free of charge through smartphone and internet applications, networking quickly and effectively and connecting with the right customers and suppliers.
Additionally, the Overseas Buying Delegation program, with the support of the Ministry of Commerce, continued to be implemented this year.
Our primary objectives are to ensure global recognition of our country's cosmetics sector and to contribute to making it a country that produces more and increasingly exports more. Our fair, which attracts major interest from foreign countries every year, was visited by 11,786 visitors this year."
Over the three-day fair, conferences, technology presentations and hair shows took place. The fair, organized with the cooperation of institutions and organizations that shape the sector, hosted sector professionals and influencers, updating participants' knowledge on sectoral trends, technological developments, legal regulations and topics on increasing exports. Additionally, a sectoral roadmap was created for foreign investors, local manufacturers, buyers and decision-makers.
BeautyEurasia, which provides the opportunity to meet with beauty and cosmetics professionals, creates an environment for sharing information about the cosmetics sector in Turkey, and offers a meeting environment with important sector experts, manufacturers and institutions, presented information and entertainment together in its event program.
In cooperation with the Special Branded Products Manufacturers and Suppliers Association (PLAT), consumer expectations were discussed under the title "Sectoral Trends and Promising Growth Areas." In the panel moderated by PLAT General Secretary Burak Aksoy, the journey of the rapidly changing sector was put on the table.
MG Gülçiçek Kimya General Manager Bülent Konca, sharing sector forecasts for 2035, said there would be rapid growth in personal care products and benefit-delivering product ranges would stand out.
Konca stated: "Due to increasing consumer mobility, user-friendly solutions providing ease of use and portability, products that reduce water consumption such as dry shampoo are among new trends."
Nielsen Customer Group Manager Turan Konu recalled that 73% of participants in the Nielsen Global Sustainability Report covering global consumers gave the answer "I will change my shopping habits to reduce environmental impact," and continued as follows:
"Along the axes of convenience, purchasing power, awareness and price—the fundamental conditions of retail—consumers increasingly prefer healthier products for themselves and the world.
That is, the intersection point of 'Healthy for Me' and 'Healthy for the World' approaches is organic, 100% natural and additive-free. In personal care and trends specifically, organic and natural content products are making their presence felt. Hair dye and hair cream are among the sectors where organic and natural content products have experienced the most growth."
