Bayer Youth Agriculture Summit to Be Held in Brazil This Year

Bayer Youth Ag Summit brings together 100 young people advocating for food security, aiming to develop concrete projects that will help feed the world population. The summit, held every two years, received 2,800 applications from 140 different countries this year. The summit will take place in Brazil from 4-6 November, and Uğur Gönül will represent Turkey with a project that unites small-scale farmers under the umbrella of regional cooperatives. Bayer has selected 100 participants from 45 different countries for the Youth Ag Summit. This year's Youth Ag Summit will be held in Brazil from 4-6 November. Uğur Gönül will represent Turkey at the summit with an initiative to unite small-scale farmers under regional cooperatives for strong cooperation, based on the idea of sharing both products and knowledge. The Youth Ag Summit, part of Bayer's Agricultural Education Programme, brings together impact-driven young people aged 18-25 to address challenges regarding how to feed the world's growing population by 2050. In this year's applications, each participant developed an idea for ensuring food security within the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Bayer received over 2,800 applications from more than 140 countries for the summit. Uğur Gönül, a law student at Yaşar University selected as a result of the evaluation conducted by Bayer Agricultural Products managers, said regarding the summit: "I am very pleased to be part of such a platform where young people discuss sustainable development goals and generate ideas for a better future."
