BATU Logistics Accelerates Its Liquid Transportation Operations

Liquid cargo maintains its share in total logistics capacity, while Batu Logistics, prominent in the chemical transport sector, increased its total liquid transport volume across road, sea and rail links by 300 percent over the past two years.

Batu Logistics General Manager Efe Göktuna said, "We are seeing growing demand especially for chemical liquid cargo transport. Using our strong infrastructure in Europe, we provide safe, fast and cost-effective solutions to our import and export customers."

According to the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure Maritime Statistics, liquid cargo takes the lion's share of cargo handled in ports. By cargo type, the highest handling occurred in August with 12 million 896 thousand 258 tons, and in the January-August period with 109 million 284 thousand 880 tons in liquid bulk cargo.

Efe Göktuna, General Manager of Batu Logistics, which ranks among Turkey's leading brands in international chemical product transport, noted that thanks to their strong infrastructure in Europe, they provide safe and fast solutions to their import and export customers.

Emphasizing that they continue to grow steadily in liquid transport, Göktuna said, "We are facing increasing demand especially in chemical liquid transport. For these cargoes, we provide continuous, cost-effective services, primarily by road. We work with the world's largest producers and carry out comprehensive logistics operations safely and on time. Our liquid transport volumes have increased by 300 percent as of September compared to the past two years. Our annual liquid transport count has reached 3,600."

"We offer a wide range of equipment options and flexible solutions"

Pointing out that they have built a strong supplier network in Turkey and Europe, Göktuna said, "With ADR-certified vehicles and equipment options including ISO tanks and flexi tanks that are most suitable for the cargo and route, we develop flexible solutions according to our customers' needs. In addition to partial and full road transport, we also provide rail and sea transport services."

"We apply international standards at the highest level"

Emphasizing that they work with an experienced team trained in ADR, primarily drivers, and well-versed in national and international regulations, Göktuna said, "In chemical transport, safety is at the forefront of determining factors. In all vehicles and equipment we use, we apply international safety standards at the highest level. We place great importance on vehicle and equipment cleaning. We prevent the risk of residue from previous transport contaminating the next load."

Göktuna said that thanks to their extensive agent connections, they can operate throughout Europe as if they were at home. Stating that this infrastructure allows them to prevent problems before they arise, Göktuna said, "We carry out solution-focused transport between Europe and Turkey, particularly with Germany, the United Kingdom, Eastern Europe and the Benelux countries. Thanks to our technological infrastructure, we share the location of our vehicles with our customers in real time."
