Batu Logistics Raises the Bar in Chemical Substance Transportation

Batu Logistics, one of the sector's most experienced companies in ADR logistics, increased its business in the UK, Switzerland, Italy and the Benelux countries by 35% during January-July as a key partner in Turkey's chemical product trade. Efe Göktuna, General Manager of the company, said that thanks to their recognition across Europe and strong business partnerships, they have steadily increased chemical substance transport numbers and minimized the negative effects of "visa issues".

According to TIM data, in January-July, 53.1% of chemical substance and product exports totaling USD 9.782 billion were directed to European countries. During this period, chemical products accounted for 14% of total exports to EU countries. Europe received the highest chemical exports to the Netherlands at USD 1.365 billion and to Romania at USD 1.231 billion.

Batu Logistics, with a large portion of its transport volume consisting of chemical products, increased its business in the UK, Switzerland, Italy and the Benelux countries by 35% during January-July. Efe Göktuna, General Manager of the company, said they largely achieved the targets they set for 2024 in transports between these countries and Turkey already in the first half of the year.

Göktuna, noting that they offer cost advantages through customer-focused solutions in chemical product transport, said: "In addition to our import loading operations, we also manage operations for our exporters. Thanks to our ADR-compliant vehicle supply infrastructure suitable for chemical substance transport, we can meet all demands."

Emphasizing that they are among Europe's sought-after logistics companies in chemical substance transport, Göktuna said: "We work with major European chemical raw material producers. Being able to transport substantial quantities of chemicals requires significant experience and operational capacity. We are familiar with EU standards. We operate with high discipline in both raw material imports to Turkey and third-country transports. Our ability to meet European manufacturers' logistics expectations has made us a trusted international brand."

"We prioritize safety"

Drawing attention to the fact that transport and storage processes for chemical substances must be carried out with as much care as their production, Göktuna noted:

"You can transport many types of cargo quickly, but when it comes to chemical substances, you need to prioritize safety. As a company, we have knowledge and experience exceeding 20 years in transporting these products. The trust our long-standing customers in both Europe and Turkey place in us motivates us further in our business processes."

"We minimize the effects of visa issues"

Göktuna, also addressing the visa issue for truck drivers, concluded: "Recent visa policies applied against Turkish truck drivers have begun to strain road transport in particular. However, we are minimizing the negative effects of this problem. This is because we have a strong supplier network across Europe. Thanks to our infrastructure in EU countries, we can organize transports between the UK, Switzerland, Italy, the Benelux countries and Turkey without encountering any obstacles."
