AYSAF to Be Held on 15-18 November at Istanbul Expo Center
The International Footwear Component Industry Fair AYSAF, a key meeting point for the footwear sector, opens at Istanbul Fuar Merkezi between 15-18 November 2023.
The 69th International Footwear Component Industry Fair AYSAF, organized in cooperation with AYSAD (Footwear Component Manufacturers Association), the umbrella organization of the sector, and Artkim Fuarcılık, is preparing to bring together over 30 business lines from across the world, including footwear component material, leather, synthetic leather, textile, sole, heel, accessory, machinery, chemical and mold manufacturers.
AYSAF, the largest fair in Eurasia and the second largest in Europe within its sector, is planned to open its doors with 350 companies. The fair is expected to be visited by over 15,000 people, of which approximately 3,000 are from abroad, from more than 80 countries.
AYSAD Board Chairman Sait Salıcı stated, "Footwear component manufacturing is a highly technological and current sector with a very long history. Turkey's annual footwear production capacity is 550 million pairs. The footwear and footwear component manufacturing sector provides employment to 320,000 people across approximately 15,000 enterprises.
6,000 of these enterprises are footwear component manufacturers. We expect to complete the year with 1.7 billion dollars in exports. It is possible to increase both production and exports through stronger protection of domestic manufacturers. Our goal is to make Turkey a 'center' in footwear component manufacturing."
Artkim Fuarcılık Founder and CEO Cengiz Yaman stated, "Our target for AYSAF this year is to realize sales to 350 companies across 23,000 square meters. We were unable to accept some foreign companies due to high demand. Together with AYSAD, we have planned to participate 40 companies from 10 countries through our Purchasing Delegation Organization.
With our next-generation fair management approach, industry, art and social responsibility will again come together at this fair. Our aim is to support manufacturers and contribute to the sector's development."
The AYSAF fair, which will be enriched with exhibitions, installations, fashion shows, panels and conference programs, will once again serve as a bridge between producers and buyers.
