Footwear component industry gathers at AYSAF

The International Footwear Component Industry Fair (AYSAF), organized in cooperation with Shoe Component Manufacturers Association (AYSAD) and Artkim Exhibitions, brought together the footwear sector at Istanbul Fair Centre between 1-4 May 2024. AYSAF, the largest fair in Eurasia and the second largest in Europe, opened its doors for the 70th time. Organized in cooperation with AYSAD and Artkim Exhibitions, the fair took place at Istanbul Fair Centre between 1-4 May. AYSAF brought together 36 business sectors including footwear component materials, leather, synthetic leather, textiles, soles, heels, accessories, machinery, chemicals and mold manufacturers.

12,374 domestic and international visitors welcomed

At the fair organized for 35 years, leading footwear and leather product manufacturers and component suppliers from the Middle East, North Africa, Turkic republics, Russia, Eastern Europe and the Balkans met. 313 brands participated in the fair held at Istanbul Fair Centre; 12,374 domestic and international visitors were welcomed. Under the name "AYSAF Talks," 9 specialized seminars and one panel were held. M. Orhan Çakıroğlu, a bootmaker who created footwear for the Harry Potter and Troy films, was among the speakers. Çakıroğlu discussed how future master craftsmen would be trained. The conference program also featured a panel titled "Entrepreneurship is in Woman's Nature." Three women entrepreneurs shared their experiences on how women find their place in this male-dominated sector. The 71st International Footwear Component Industry Fair - AYSAF will take place at Istanbul Fair Centre on 13-16 November 2024.
