Footwear Sector Preparing for AYSAF Meeting The footwear sector, entering the first quarter of 2022 with growth rates of 23%, is preparing for the Footwear Auxiliary Industry Fair-AYSAF, the sector's most important meeting point. The Footwear Auxiliary Industry Fair-AYSAF will bring together companies from around the world at Istanbul Convention and Exhibition Centre on 1-4 June 2022. AYSAF, which will open its doors with the effective operations of the Footwear Auxiliary Manufacturers Association (AYSAD) as the roof organisation of the sector and the experience of Artkim Fuarcılık, which has shaped many sectors through the fairs it organises, is being prepared to add strength to the footwear sector, which ranks among the stars of exports.

Over 300 Companies to Showcase New Products and Technologies at AYSAF

At the fair to be held on 1-4 June, over 300 companies that lead the global market will showcase their new products and technologies. The AYSAF Fair, which has made significant contributions to exports in the footwear and auxiliary industry sector for years, will play an active role in bringing innovative products and services to a wide audience and establishing new business connections in the sector. AYSAF provides an ideal platform for the sector to meet its needs for footwear sole systems, leather, synthetic leather, textiles, EVA, metal and plastic accessory products, chemicals, adhesives, machinery, equipment and production technologies, and will once again be an important bridge between producers and buyers. Sait Vakkas Salıcı, Chairman of the Footwear Auxiliary Manufacturers Association, shared information about AYSAF. Emphasising AYSAF's critical role in Turkey's footwear sector's USD 3 billion export roadmap, Salıcı said: "The footwear sector, which exceeded USD 1 billion in exports in 2021 and is entering the first quarter of 2022 with growth rates of 23%, ranks among the most important players in our country's exports. As the roof organisation of the sector, we believe that by continuously developing our Footwear Auxiliary Industry Fair, AYSAF, which demonstrates our strength in the international arena, we will achieve greater targets and make our potential known to the entire world."

"Our Goal is to Make Turkey the World's Footwear Auxiliary Industry Centre"

Salıcı drew attention to the fact that logistical and raw material problems in China have made it difficult for footwear manufacturers in many countries around the world to access auxiliary industry products. Salıcı said: "Foreign visitors seeking alternatives have turned their visits and purchasing routes to Turkey from the Middle East, Europe and Africa due to the advantage of geographical proximity, the ability to purchase in smaller quantities, and the price-quality balance of the products. Our footwear auxiliary industry companies are highly capable, open to technological innovations and have sufficient infrastructure and potential to meet export demands. As AYSAD, our goal is to make Turkey the world's footwear auxiliary industry centre. We are fully confident that we will carry our traditional sector to an important place in the new economy."

AYSAD and Artkim Fuarcılık Joined Forces for AYSAF

The Footwear Auxiliary Manufacturers Association (AYSAD) and Artkim Fuarcılık, which has shaped the specialised and boutique fair sector through the fairs it has organised for years, entered into a partnership for the International Footwear Auxiliary Industry Fair-AYSAF. Artkim Fuarcılık, with its 20 years of experience in the fair industry, has organised specialised fairs meeting national and international standards to date and continues to develop new projects and partnerships with the aim of adding value to the sector. "We Believe This Valuable Partnership Will Add Strength to the Sector" Cengiz Yaman, CEO of Artkim Fuarcılık, noted that they set out in 2002 to serve the Chemical Sector, which captures the pulse of Turkish Industry. "With the strength we draw from the sector, the fairs we have organised for 20 years with a focus on development and innovation contribute to Turkish Economy by enabling sector stakeholders to access international markets, develop exports and generate billions of dollars in business volume. We believe that this valuable partnership we have established with AYSAD for AYSAF will also add strength to the sector," he said.

"At AYSAF, We Will Provide Our Participants and Visitors with a High-Interaction Fair Experience"

Yaman, noting that they aim to provide long-term communication opportunities and high brand visibility for companies and to eliminate the disadvantages of limited time and space for visitors, said: "To this end, as Artkim Fuarcılık, we continue to shape the services we offer in line with the changing fair industry understanding, especially with the pandemic. At AYSAF, we will provide our participants and visitors with a high-interaction fair experience. Through the 'allArtkim Mobile App', which covers all details of the fair, and the 'Virtual Fair' platform that will be active after the physical fair, AYSAF will provide an effective and long-lasting communication opportunity for participants and visitors."
