Almark Logistics Achieves 45% Growth in Sea Freight to Russia and Belarus

Almark Logistics, known for integrated logistics solutions in Russia, neighboring countries and Turkish republics, increased 45-foot container usage in maritime transport to Russia and Belarus by 45% over the past year. This acceleration in the company's multimodal transport operations was achieved through both capacity increases and efficiency gains in transit times.

Almark Logistics General Manager Onur Güvenler, noting that maritime operations on Russia and Belarus routes have recently accelerated, made the following assessment:

"The widespread use of 45-foot containers increased our operational efficiency, providing our customers with significant competitive advantage."

Efficiency and speed gains in multimodal transport
Güvenler emphasized that the road + maritime combination is being effectively used particularly in transit transport:

"In transit shipments, we achieved high efficiency in the process of transporting cargo by road to ports and transferring them to 45-foot containers. We concluded new agent agreements for maritime transport and began offering more competitive freight rates. Transit customs clearance and operational processes accelerated. We experienced notable increases particularly in vehicle and machinery spare parts transport."

Increased volume shortened transit times
Güvenler, noting that the increased transport volume also strengthened the route structure, shared the following information:

-Volume increased significantly in services departing from Ambarlı, Gebze, İzmir and Mersin

-The number of shipping lines operating on the Novorossiysk and St. Petersburg route increased

-Transit times shortened with the introduction of new services

Güvenler said, "In parallel with growing demand, we introduced new routes and provided time advantages at both departure and arrival points."

Flexibility, cost and distribution network advantages delivered
Güvenler noted that operational flexibility became particularly evident in Russia's domestic distribution:

-Cargo planning was optimized with more frequent vessel departures

-Special heavy-lift vessels with high-capacity transport capabilities were deployed in Russia

-Time and cost optimization was achieved through shuttle models between warehouses, ports and final delivery

Güvenler also stated that door-to-door transport strengthened in centers such as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Rostov, Krasnodar and Belarus-Minsk, which provided cost advantages to customers.

Expansion goal in global market: US office on agenda
Güvenler, noting that Almark Logistics has accelerated its global market growth strategy in recent years, made the following remarks:

-Infrastructure investments have been expanded in Europe and North America

-Strong growth is targeted in US transport

-Plans to open an office in the US are on the agenda

Güvenler said, "On a global scale we foresee significant growth particularly on US routes. In this context, we are taking steps to open our own office in the US."
