Aksa Akrilik offers unique solutions with Armora modacrylic fiber

Aksa Akrilik's cutting-edge modacrylic fiber Armora brings together comfort and durability for every sector where safety is paramount, delivering unique solutions. Noting that Armora provides higher UV protection than other FR fibers when combined with non-FR cellulosic fibers, Taş stated, "Through Armora's 'Infinite Colors Technology', protective apparel is produced to withstand industrial laundry cycles despite its reasonable cost. Colors remain vibrant after washing even at high temperatures, making them an ideal choice for industrial laundry programs. In line with our sustainability focus, Armora fibers consume up to 92% less water during the dyeing process, making them stand out as one of the most environmentally friendly fibers on the market," he said. Taş also noted that several market and customer-focused R&D projects are being implemented to develop innovative flame-retardant products.

Will have 5,000 tons/year capacity

Pointing to increased Armora product capacity, Taş stated, "In addition to the 2,000 tons/year capacity increase in the last quarter of 2023, Armora will have a capacity of 5,000 tons/year as of the last quarter of 2024. With this steady capacity expansion step, AKSA will maintain its position as a quality and reliable modacrylic fiber supplier with an innovative product range. This development will enable us to deliver excellent service quality to our customers and better meet customer needs in the modacrylic market," he concluded.
