Aksa Akrilik ranks among ISO 500
Aksa Akrilik climbed 8 places in the Istanbul Chamber of Industry's "Turkey's 500 Largest Industrial Enterprises (ISO 500)" study, moving to 42nd position.
Aksa Akrilik, Turkey's sole and the world's leading acrylic fiber producer, once again made the top 50 in the Istanbul Chamber of Industry's traditional "Turkey's 500 Largest Industrial Enterprises (ISO 500)" study this year. Rising 8 places compared to last year, the company moved to 42nd position.
Aksa Akrilik increased its net sales from TRY 4,158,855,136 in production in 2020 to TRY 9,044,760,813 in 2021. With this increase, Aksa Akrilik climbed 8 places, moving from 50th position last year to 42nd position.
Aksa Akrilik Board Member and General Manager Cengiz Taş commented on the matter, stating: "In line with our consistent and sustainable growth policy, we closed 2021 with significant momentum. We will continue to contribute to Turkey and Yalova's economy, exports and employment while maintaining our financial sustainability this year as well. I congratulate every member of the Aksa family who contributed to our success and added value to us."
The study, first launched in 1968 under the name "100 Leading Firms," expanded to 300 companies in 1978 and reached its current number in 1981, taking on the name "Turkey's 500 Largest Industrial Enterprises." All enterprises operating in the industrial sector can participate in the study, which highlights the country's leading companies. The ISO 500 study is significant in identifying the size of industrial companies based on annual net sales figures, providing insight into the development of Turkish industry and contributing to the determination of a future roadmap.
