AKPA Kimya provides significant support to education

AKPA Kimya held a groundbreaking ceremony for a secondary school it is constructing in Tekirdağ Muratlı. The groundbreaking ceremony, held on 9 May for the school being built by AKPA Kimya Board Chairman Kemal Darcan, was attended by numerous government officials and business leaders. The modern secondary school to be constructed will feature 20 classrooms, an indoor sports hall, an independent art workshop and a space observation facility. AKPA Kimya Board Chairman Kemal Darcan delivered remarks stating: "As AKPA Kimya, we are proud to have signed off on many projects from 1997 to the present day. With our facility in Tekirdağ Muratlı, AKPA Kimya, Europe's largest facility under a single roof, exports intermediate products to more than 75 countries across numerous industrial sectors and ranks among the top 5 in the global market. By continuously developing our product range and offering high-quality products to the market, we are moving rapidly towards becoming a world brand. With the aim of providing not only economic but also maximum social contribution to the society in which we live, we implement many corporate social responsibility projects and aim to benefit society. In line with this objective, we are pleased to gather at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Kemal Darcan Secondary School project in our Muratlı district, which will contain 20 classrooms, an indoor sports hall, an independent art workshop and a space observation facility. Through the Kemal Darcan Secondary School project, we aim to train qualified human resources towards building the knowledge society of the future in accordance with the changing conditions of the new century, ensuring equal opportunity in education and enabling students to receive quality education," he said. Following remarks by Tekirdağ Provincial Education Director Ersan Ulusan, Tekirdağ Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Candan Yüceer, and Tekirdağ Governor Recep Soytürk, the groundbreaking was carried out as Kemal Darcan and protocol members pressed the button.
