Akkök Holding Held R&D Summit

Akkök Holding Holds R&D Summit Akkök Holding organized an "R&D Summit" with the participation of its chemical group companies. Opening the event, Akkök Holding Chief Executive Officer Ahmet Dördüncü noted that the Akkök group invested TRY 265 million in R&D activities over three years, stating, "Our companies strengthen Turkey's position in innovation, production and exports through their projects in this field." Akkök Holding, one of Turkey's long-established industrial enterprises, brought together its subsidiaries operating in the chemicals sector at the "Akkök R&D Summit." At the event held at the new R&D center of Akcoat, a chemical coatings materials manufacturer and group subsidiary, located in Sakarya, the R&D, innovation and production technology investments and future targets of Aksa Akrilik, Akkim Kimya, Akcoat, DowAksa and Epsilon Kompozit were presented. More than 6,000 employees working at Akkök Holding and its subsidiaries followed the summit live online. Attendees from Akkök Holding included Board Chairman Raif Ali Dinçkök, Board Vice Chairman Nilüfer Dinçkök Çiftçi, Chief Executive Officer and Board Member Ahmet Dördüncü, Board and Executive Committee Member Alize Dinçkök, Board and Executive Committee Member Mehmet Emin Çiftçi, Executive Committee Member Gökşin Durusoy, Executive Committee Member Cengiz Taş, Executive Committee Member Onur Kipri and Akcoat General Manager Veysi Küçük, as well as senior executives from group companies.

"Akkök Holding's path to global targets runs through R&D"

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the event, Akkök Holding Chief Executive Officer Ahmet Dördüncü stated that the Akkök group invested TRY 265 million in R&D over three years. Noting that the companies, working across 50 different product groups, hold 165 patent applications and 88 design registrations, Dördüncü said their work in this area strengthens Turkey's position in innovation, production and exports. Dördüncü continued with the following remarks: "Akkök Holding is advancing with determined steps toward catching up with global competition conditions and reaching world standards. Undoubtedly, the importance we attach to R&D and innovation on our path to our goals, and our achievements in this field, constantly encourage us to take bold new steps forward. Five separate R&D centers with a combined area exceeding 12,000 square meters are staffed by very young and dynamic teams with an average age of 33. I believe that through our R&D and innovation work across all sectors in which we operate, we ensure that our institution proudly carries the flags of global leadership in different fields while creating added value for our country." The "Akkök R&D Summit," hosted by Akcoat and held for the first time this year, will be held twice annually and become a regular event. The event is significant as it addresses the current R&D, innovation and production technology work of Akkök Holding's group companies and their targets.
