Akkim Kimya Receives Sustainability Report Award from the United States

Akkim Kimya has received another award from the League of American Communication Professionals. The company's sustainability report for the 2018-2019 period won the Platinum Award under the 2019/20 Vision Awards. Akkim Kimya, Turkey's chemical substance producer, achieved another milestone on the international sustainability platforms. The "Akkim 2018-2019 Sustainability Report" was awarded by the League of American Communication Professionals (LACP), one of the world's most respected communication organizations based in San Diego. At the 2019/20 Vision Awards ceremony held by LACP for the 19th time this year, Akkim Kimya won the Platinum Award.

Akkim's report scored 99 out of 100

At the event where more than 6,000 reports worldwide were reviewed by communication professionals, classification was made according to factors such as company size, sector and year. Reports divided into categories were evaluated under the criteria of first impression, cover design, stakeholder letter, narrative language, financial data, creativity, clarity of messages conveyed and information accessibility. As a result, Akkim's sustainability report scored 99 out of 100 and ranked 2nd among all reports.  

Had won two more awards from LACP

Akkim, with the slogan "sustainability is part of our chemistry," aims to raise the level of economic growth and prosperity while protecting the environment and the quality of life of all people on earth. Under the United Nations Global Compact, Akkim's sustainability reports in accordance with Global Reporting Initiative standards are prepared and shared with the public on biennial cycles. The company was also the recipient of the LACP Silver Award with its 2013 Sustainability Report and the LACP Gold Award with its 2014-2015 Sustainability Report.
