Akkim Brings Children's Dreams to Life Akkim Kimya, a company that places importance on social responsibility projects in addition to its success in the sector and has undertaken various initiatives for this purpose, hosted children from earthquake-affected families living in dormitories of KYK (Higher Education and Dormitory Loan Institutions) and children from Sevgi Evleri (Love Homes) under Social Services at Kidzania in cooperation with Yalova Family and Social Services Provincial Directorate and Yalova Municipality. Following the earthquake disaster that affected 11 provinces, Akkim provided a joyful day for children from families who had come to Yalova from different provinces and settled in KYK (Higher Education and Dormitory Loan Institutions) dormitories, as well as children from Sevgi Evleri under Social Services supervision. The children, who had the opportunity to experience many different professions, learned about the careers they wish to pursue in the future while accumulating fun moments and happy memories together. The youngsters who participated in various activities across Kidzania's 10,000 m² area developed their artistic, physical and social skills. Additionally, children who spent time in Akkim's Science and Chemistry Laboratory learned about famous names in the chemistry world and found answers to questions such as: What do abbreviations like NA, FE, ZR, MG stand for and what are they used for? What is created when carbonate and lemon juice are mixed? The children also had the opportunity to experience chemistry by applying various experimental techniques. With the mission of "adding value to life through chemistry," Akkim produces innovation on a global scale and, through an increasing number of social responsibility projects each year, continues to work at full capacity in economic, social and environmental areas while striving to make an impact in different fields and create social benefit.
