Abdi İbrahim Named to CDP Climate A List for Third Time, Raises Water Security Score to A

Abdi İbrahim continues its steady performance in the 2025 Carbon Transparency Project (CDP) Climate Change Programme with its long-term approach to sustainability. Prioritising environmental impact in its business model, Abdi İbrahim received an A rating for the third time in the 2025 CDP Climate Change Programme, reinforcing its position among global climate leaders. The company also advanced to an A level in the Water Security Programme, demonstrating strong performance in both areas.

In line with its HEAL2050 sustainability strategy, the company is successfully pursuing its transformation journey targeting net zero emissions by 2050. In this context, it also received approval from the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for its targets on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and reaching net zero emissions by 2050. This approach was reflected in the 2025 Carbon Transparency Project (CDP) results. Abdi İbrahim was included in the A List for the third time in the Climate Change Programme, while upgrading its Water Security Programme rating from A- to A, reaffirming its steady progress in sustainability on an international scale. Abdi İbrahim maintains its position as the first and only company in the Turkish pharmaceutical sector to achieve this success.

Comprehensive approach to climate risks
Noting that climate risks and access to natural resources are becoming increasingly critical, Dr. M. Oğuzcan Bülbül continued: "We had our targets for greenhouse gas emissions reductions in 2034 and 2050 and reaching net zero emissions by 2050 approved by the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi). In line with our targets, we are managing a comprehensive transformation spanning from energy efficiency to production processes, from resource use to supply chain. We are not limiting this transformation to operational improvements; we are advancing it within a holistic framework supported by risk management, governance and transparent reporting. The results obtained in assessments conducted by independent international authorities are extremely meaningful and gratifying for us in seeing that the steps we have taken are correct."
