5th Private Label Summit to Take Place on 6 November

"Smart Shopping" trend directs consumers toward private label products, while private label manufacturer companies are gaining increasing market share every day. PLAT Association of Private Label Product Manufacturers and Suppliers will hold the fifth Private Label Summit on 6 November 2019 at Kurtköy Crowne Plaza Hotel. The organization, with this year's theme set as "Exit Routes to Sustainability," will bring together key names from the sector, from manufacturer and supplier companies to representatives of national and local retail chains. Private label products, offering quality goods at affordable prices to consumers, are beginning to shape the future of the retail sector. The private label product sector, which closed 2018 with approximately 70% growth and TRY 50 billion in turnover, reached 30% growth during the first eight months of this year. From food to cosmetics, from personal care to cleaning products, private label items are finding their place on supermarket shelves in nearly every category, serving as a lifeline for consumers concerned about high prices while playing a critical role in combating inflation. The summit will open with remarks from PLAT Association Board Chairman M. İmer Özer. In the morning session, following a presentation by Nielsen Retail Services Director İlker Unutkan, Journalist-Author Serdar Kuzuloğlu, former CEO of Lidl-UK and Founder of Heunadel Retail Advisory Ronny Gottschlich, and Lead Network Turkey President Aysun Zaman will deliver speeches. In the afternoon session, BİM COO Galip Aykaç, Educator-Author Mümin Sekman, A101 CEO Erhan Bostan, Educator-Author Serkan Karaismailoğlu, and Migros CMO Cem Rodoslu will take the stage. The summit will close with remarks by Sabancı University Finance Chair Prof. Dr. Özgür Demirtaş.
