The 23rd of April Will Again Be Celebrated Colorfully
Rahmi M. Koç Museum will join children's celebration of 23 April with sailing and car painting activities.
Turkey's first and only industrial museum, Rahmi M. Koç Museum, will mark 23 April National Sovereignty and Children's Day with a colourful programme. Children will experience the joy of the holiday, a gift from Atatürk, through sailing and car painting activities.
The Sailing Painting activity will begin at 12:00. Children will showcase their creativity by colouring a vibrant world of their imagination, involving both their peers and adults.
Following the painting activity, four separate sailing tours will be held between 13:00 and 15:15. To participate in the activity, which is subject to capacity limits, visitors need only register at the museum ticket office when purchasing their tickets.
The museum's traditional Car Painting activity will begin at 13:00. In this activity, held in four groups, children will colour a white Vosvos.
To participate in the activity, which is subject to capacity limits, visitors need only register at the museum ticket office when purchasing their tickets. The sails and car painted by the children will be displayed at Rahmi M. Koç Museum for one week.
Book signing for adults
The museum will also host a special book signing for 23 April. Mustafa Kemal Ulusu, son of Nuri Ulusu, Atatürk's librarian, will sign his book titled "By Atatürk's Side". Ulusu's book, which compiles all the memories his father Nuri Ulusu gathered over 12 years, offers an opportunity to witness not only Atatürk's world filled with books, but also his travels, friendships, dreams and ideals.Advertisement
