TİKAV Scholarship Recipients Complete Four-Year Development Journey with Graduation

The 16th cohort of scholarship recipients supported through Turkey Human Resources Education and Health Foundation's (TİKAV) Individual Development Program graduated after four years of scholarships, training, mentoring, cultural-arts and volunteering activities. The young graduates received their certificates at the ceremony held and successfully completed the four-year program that supported their personal and social development alongside their university education.

Turkey Human Resources Education and Health Foundation (TİKAV), founded by Akfen Holding, continues its efforts to support equal opportunity in education in its 27th year of operation. The 16th cohort of scholarship recipients who completed their education under the foundation's long-term Individual Development Program (BGP) took their first steps into their new lives at the graduation ceremony held.

Hamdi Akın, Chairman of the Board of Akfen Holding and Honorary Chairman of TİKAV, Pelin Akın Özalp, Board Member of Akfen Holding and Chair of the UGO Committee, Hülya Kırçuval, Chairman of the Board of TİKAV, mentors and scholarship recipients attended the ceremony.

Four-year development journey culminates in graduation
Within the scope of the graduation program, scholarship recipients celebrated their four-year development process, which they completed through professional field trips, talks, cultural-arts events and an Istanbul program.

The ceremony, which began with a screening of the TİKAV Introductory Film, also featured a presentation of the International Youth Award Program, which the foundation represents in Turkey.

One of the most meaningful moments of the program was when the scholarship recipients thanked the mentors who guided them over four years. The young graduates read letters describing their development journey and future goals on stage and presented thank you plaques to their mentors.

The ceremony continued with a tango performance prepared by the scholarship recipients, a video presentation of moments experienced throughout the program, and a specially prepared musical performance for graduation. At the end of the program, graduates received their certificates, gifts and special artwork created for them.

Hülya Kırçuval, Chairman of the Board of TİKAV, said the following in her remarks at the graduation ceremony:

"Today we are celebrating not only the graduation of our young people who have completed their university education; we are celebrating the steps into new lives of individuals who have come to know themselves, taken responsibility, learned to create together, and contributed to society over four years. With the Individual Development Program, we aim to support not only the academic success of our scholarship recipients but also their social, cultural and personal development. It is a great joy for us to have left a mark on each of your journeys. We firmly believe that in your future lives, with your accumulated knowledge and sense of social responsibility, you will add value to those around you."

Hamdi Akın, Chairman of the Board of Akfen Holding and Honorary Chairman of TİKAV, made the following remarks in his speech:

"Today we are witnessing the completion of an important four-year journey marked by hard work and development. When we established TİKAV, our goal was to provide young people with equal opportunity in education and to create a sustainable development model that would prepare them for all areas of life. The successes we see here today are one of the most important indicators that we have achieved this goal. With the knowledge, confidence and sense of responsibility you possess, I firmly believe you will add value to both your own future and our country. Your success further strengthens our faith in young people and the future."

TİKAV's Individual Development Program offers a comprehensive development model that supports university students not only from an academic perspective but also in personal, social and professional aspects.

Scholarship recipients who join the program in their first year of university receive, over four years, scholarship support as well as training, seminars, mentoring work, volunteer projects, cultural-arts events, institutional visits and professional development programs.

Young people who gain competencies in areas such as communication, leadership, teamwork, personal awareness and social responsibility are better prepared for working life after graduation.
