Senior Leadership Change at P&G

P&G has implemented new leadership appointments as part of its consumer-focused growth strategy. As of 1 July 2026, Oya Öngör assumed leadership of a new region encompassing Turkey and the Caucasus as well as India, Saudi Arabia, Africa and Gulf countries, while Burak Akkiriş was appointed to the position of Chairman of the Board of P&G Turkey and the Caucasus.

The company continues to strengthen its operational structure in order to respond more quickly to consumer needs in the markets where it operates, with the aim that the leadership changes implemented will support its consumer-focused growth strategy.

Oya Öngör Takes on Regional Leadership Role
Oya Öngör, who held the position of Chairman of the Board of P&G Turkey, the Caucasus and Central Asia, was assigned under the new structure as leader of a broad geography encompassing Turkey and the Caucasus as well as India, Saudi Arabia, Africa and Gulf countries.

In her Dubai-based role, Öngör will be responsible for developing regional growth strategies, promoting consumer-focused innovation and managing operations tailored to the needs of different markets.

Burak Akkiriş Becomes New President of Turkey and the Caucasus
Burak Akkiriş, who served as Vice President responsible for P&G Europe Oral Care Product Supply Operations, took over the position of Chairman of the Board of P&G Turkey and the Caucasus as of 1 July 2026.

Akkiriş began his career at P&G in 1997 and held various senior positions in Turkey and Europe in manufacturing, supply chain, technology investments, commercial operations and product supply. Most recently serving as Vice President responsible for Europe Oral Care Product Supply Operations, Akkiriş will manage the company's Turkey and Caucasus operations in his new role.

Internal Promotion Model Continues
P&G notes that the new appointments are a result of the company's long-standing "internal promotion" approach. By having managers working in different geographies transfer their global experience to new areas of responsibility, the company aims to strengthen its consumer-focused growth strategy and operational efficiency.

With the new organizational structure, P&G aims to respond more quickly to local needs in the markets where it operates, accelerate innovation processes and support sustainable growth.
