Devrim Emel Alıcı Appointed as GSK Turkey Country Medical Director

Global biopharmaceutical company GSK Türkiye announced a new appointment in its organizational structure. Dr. Devrim Emel Alıcı, who had served as Oncology Group Medical Director at the company, took office as GSK Türkiye Country Medical Director as of 15 June 2026.

As part of the appointment at GSK, which has over 300 years of experience globally in the healthcare sector and more than 65 years in Turkey, Alıcı will be responsible for managing the company's medical strategies and will also serve on the GSK Turkey Management Team.
Started GSK career in 2008
A graduate of Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine with specialization in Pulmonology, Dr. Devrim Emel Alıcı began his pharmaceutical industry career in 2008 with the GSK Turkey Medical Team.
Throughout his career, Alıcı held various responsibilities in the fields of respiratory, vaccines, infectious diseases and HIV, and subsequently served in different leadership positions at the local and global level in international pharmaceutical companies.
Will bring international experience to GSK Turkey
Before rejoining GSK, Alıcı worked at AstraZeneca, most recently holding the position of Country Medical Director in the company's Singapore operations.
Notable for his international experience and expertise in different therapeutic areas, Alıcı is expected to lead GSK Turkey's scientific and medical activities in his new role.
With the appointment, GSK Turkey aims to continue its efforts to strengthen its patient-focused approach and science-based healthcare solutions.
