ETİ, operating for 65 years with the goal of making people happy, has taken an important step towards equal opportunity in society by becoming a founding supporter of the "Mentor Programme for a Million Women". Through this partnership, ETİ not only provides institutional support; it is also turning experienced employees into mentors who will guide young girls on their career journeys.

ETİ Employees to Mentor Young Girls
Under the programme, high school and university students aged 15-25, as well as young girls who have recently entered working life, connect with sector leaders through a digital platform. Thanks to ETİ's role as founding supporter, all ETİ employees who have completed 5 years in their professional careers provide free and voluntary mentoring to young girls.

Goal: Reach More Young Girls
The aim of the "Mentor Programme for a Million Women" is to bring together individuals and institutions that make a difference, consolidating mentoring programmes that support young girls in achieving their career goals under one umbrella. The programme aims to create 1 million mentoring connections over 10 years, providing guidance to young girls and girls in various fields.

The programme was launched under the leadership of Ümran Beba and Canan Özsoy, co-chairs of the Women in Business working group of the US – Turkey Business Council, affiliated with the US Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with TurkishWIN and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).

Social Responsibility is Part of ETİ's Way of Doing Business
Speaking at the programme's launch event, ETİ Human Resources Director Aslı Demirgil Günhan emphasised that women's and young girls' participation in the economy is critical for Turkey's sustainable future:

"As ETİ, we view social responsibility not merely as an approach, but as a fundamental part of our way of doing business. We prioritise practices that support gender equality, strengthen inclusivity, and create equal opportunities for women.

Being a Founding Supporter in the Mentor Programme for a Million Women is a strong reflection of this vision. Through this partnership, we not only provide institutional contribution; we also enable our employees to actively participate in the process, supporting young girls in discovering their potential.

Because we know that every support that touches the life of a young girl builds the foundation of a stronger society. This step we are taking advances our purpose as a brand working for humanity's happiness."
