Abdi İbrahim, a leading pharmaceutical company in Turkey, has achieved another international success with its employee-focused human resources practices. The company's "Blue-Collar Skills-Based Compensation Design" project, which reflects the experience and competencies of production operators in an objective compensation system, was awarded the Gold Stevie Award at the Stevie Awards for Great Employers 2026.

Abdi İbrahim's project, which supports employee development and aims to create a fairer, more transparent and understandable structure in compensation management, was recognized in the "Success in Compensation Design and Management" category of the Stevie Awards for Great Employers.

In this year's 11th edition of the event, organizations of different sizes from 38 countries participated with over 1,000 applications, and award recipients were selected following jury evaluation involving more than 160 professionals from around the world.

Production Operators' Competencies Integrated into Compensation System
The Blue-Collar Skills-Based Compensation Design, developed for production operators working at Abdi İbrahim's Esenyurt Production Complex, was implemented within the scope of the company's MPx (Multiprocess) Development Program.

With the model launched in 2024, a transition was made from position-based compensation approach to a skills-based compensation system that takes into account employees' experience, competencies and responsibilities.

The system developed by Abdi İbrahim teams with their own knowledge base evaluates employees' professional experience, newly acquired skills and assumed responsibilities through objective criteria and integrates them into compensation management. Thanks to the model, employee development processes are supported while the criteria underlying salary increases become more transparent.

"We Created a Fair Structure that Makes Experience and Competencies Visible"
Dr. M. Oğuzcan Bülbül, Head of Human Resources, Corporate Communications and Sustainability at Abdi İbrahim, made the following statements in his evaluation regarding the award:

"At Abdi İbrahim, we shape our human resources practices with an understanding of organizational culture where our employees' contributions are visible and their development is supported. With the skills-based compensation model we implemented for our production operators, we ensured that the experience and competencies our employees gained over years are reflected more systematically in compensation management. We are very pleased that this project has been recognized internationally with the Gold Stevie Award."

Part of Sustainability Strategy
Positioned under the heading "Future of People" within Abdi İbrahim's HEAL2050 sustainability strategy, the skills-based compensation model stands out as one of the practices that supports employee development and strengthens equal opportunity.

The model also contributes to the "Decent Work and Economic Growth" and "Reducing Inequalities" objectives among the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Abdi İbrahim aims to continue its human resources practices aimed at enhancing employee experience and strengthening an inclusive work culture in the coming period.
