Sapro ISO Moves Up in Top 500 List

Sapro has made significant strides among Turkey's top 500 industrial enterprises. Since 2020, Sapro has doubled its growth during the pandemic, and in the list released yesterday by Istanbul Chamber of Industry, it moved up 125 places to rank 285th, becoming one of the largest 300 companies. Istanbul Chamber of Industry shared Turkey's 500 Largest Industrial Enterprises Survey on Wednesday with the public. Sapro, one of Turkey's leading companies in the private label products sector, has achieved major success by moving from 410th place in the previous year to 285th place. In the same list, Sapro ranked 432nd in 2018 and 410th in 2019, strengthening its consistent growth. Dominating 40% of Turkey's private label sector, Sapro achieved 40% growth in 2020 through production at its facilities strengthened with cutting-edge technology and R&D investments. As Turkey's largest and Europe's 4th largest wet wipe manufacturer, exporting products to more than 70 countries across 6 continents, Sapro's strength resulted in 75% of its 2020 revenue coming from exports. Sapro Board Chairman Ceyhun Zincirkıran, noting that the source of consistent growth on the ISO list is working without compromising on quality, said: "2020 was a very important year for us. During the pandemic, we not only met Turkey's and the world's wet wipe needs but also developed special high-quality products that would increase hygiene in our R&D laboratories." Noting that their facilities produce not only wet wipes but also cardboard boxes and displays, plastic and nonwoven fabric, which is the raw material for wet wipes, Zincirkıran stated: "No success is coincidental. With the pandemic came a 50% increase in demand for our products, and we made machinery investments to increase our capacity. Thanks to this 'vertical integration' system we established, we quickly overcame supply chain difficulties." Ceyhun Zincirkıran, also noting that they were proud to open their Bulgaria facility at the end of 2020, continued: "As Sapro, we develop new products without compromising on quality, maintaining our R&D efforts at the highest level. Recently, we obtained investment credit for producing environment-friendly biodegradable wet wipes. Our entire objective is to ensure that the world and Turkey have access to the highest quality products."
