Sabancı Calls on Foreign Investors in London to Invest

Sabancı Group shared its 5-year roadmap covering 2024-2029 with foreign investors in London. Over 100 representatives from leading global financial institutions attended the conference held under the title Sabancı Holding Capital Markets Day.
Following the pandemic, the conference was recorded as one of the most comprehensive investor meetings held abroad under Turkish business leadership and also played an important role in communicating Turkey's economic normalization steps to investors.
At the conference, attended by Sabancı Holding Board Chair Güler Sabancı, Sabancı Holding Chief Executive Officer Cenk Alper, Finance Group Head Orhun Kötem, the Executive Committee, General Managers of Group companies, and finance and investor relations teams, investors received information about the Holding's focus areas and future targets. During one-on-one meetings held, they also exchanged views with Group companies on growth strategies and potential investment opportunities.
"OUR CONFIDENCE IN TURKEY'S POTENTIAL CONTINUES TO GROW"
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Sabancı Holding Board Chair Güler Sabancı emphasized her confidence in Turkey's economy and future, stating: "We are a Group with approximately 100 years of history, serving a strong purpose. Since our founding, we have believed that human resources are our most valuable asset. Our qualified workforce and our commitment to sustainability are the cornerstones of Sabancı's century-long legacy and future. As we leave behind a challenging period as a country, together with the correct steps taken, we firmly believe that Turkey's economy is moving toward a bright future. Nevertheless, our confidence in our country's potential continues to grow. The fact that economic management treats inflation as a primary priority makes us extremely satisfied as the business world. On the other hand, we must not forget that Turkey is one of the developing countries. Being a developing country brings with it certain challenges in the current global environment. But alongside all this, Turkey has enormous potential. As a Group that has been identified with the Turkish Republic for approximately 100 years, we work determinedly to unlock this potential. With our vision of 'Sabancı to the World,' we will continue to take responsibility so that both our country and our Group gain strength on a global scale."
"WE HAVE IDENTIFIED 4 FOCUS AREAS FOR OUR STRATEGIC INVESTMENTS"
Sabancı Holding Chief Executive Officer Cenk Alper, noting that the global transformation in sustainability and digital focus signals a new journey for Sabancı, stated: "We do not view sustainability as a social responsibility project or a reporting standard. Similarly, digitalization is not just an efficiency project for us. We see both sustainability and digitalization as new economies that will fundamentally change the world order. Our primary objective with the strategic roadmap we have prepared for the coming period is not to be customers of these economies, but to be game changers on a global scale. We will mobilize the knowledge accumulated by this game-changing role for our country's economic and social development. In line with this understanding, in the 5-year period ahead, we will concentrate our investment priorities in 4 main focus areas: energy and climate technologies, material technologies, mobility solutions, and digital technologies. Our Group companies will, on the one hand, protect and grow their core businesses while, on the other hand, in new growth platforms, following world-best practices. This will reinforce Sabancı's mission of 'always being a pioneer and an example.'"
Cenk Alper, also underlining that this transformation creates significant value for Sabancı's shareholders, investors, and employees, as well as all stakeholders, said: "With our dynamic portfolio management approach and new economy-focused global growth strategy, we aim to double our current net asset value over the next 5 years. In other words, by the time we reach 2029, through the effect of both growth in our core businesses and scaling in new business lines, we aim to create at least one additional Sabancı in terms of value."
