Jak Eskinazi, Coordinator President of Aegean Exporters Associations, stated that they are proud of the fact that the number of companies from the Aegean Region on the top 1,000 exporters list announced by Turkey's Exporters Assembly has increased regularly from 118 to 160 since 2012, and that they will focus on work emphasizing digitalization, innovation, R&D, design and branding to ensure that more companies from the Aegean Region feature on the top 1,000 exporters list in the coming period. Pointing out that Turkey organized its first digital fair in the footwear and leather goods sector as Shoedex2020 Footwear and Leather Goods Fair on 1-4 June 2020 following the pandemic, Eskinazi said, "On 12-16 October 2020, we will organize Turkey's first Food Virtual Fair—The Fource. In today's environment where the pandemic does not allow physical marketing, we are trying to ensure continuity in our exports through digital fairs and trade delegations. In the January-August period of 2020, we realized USD 8.1 billion in exports to 214 countries and free zones. By harvesting the results of the projects we implemented in the last four months of 2020, we aim to close 2020 with an increase in exports and to feature more of our companies on TİM's top 1,000 Exporters List in the coming year," he said.Advertisement
