Gaziantep Enters Final Quarter with Record Exports Gaziantep achieved USD 957 million 127 thousand in exports during September, entering the final quarter with a record export performance. With this figure, Gaziantep secured a 3.6 percent increase compared to the previous year, and reached USD 7.7 billion in exports during the January-September period. Evaluating the September export figures announced by the Turkish Exporters Council (TİM), Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce Management Board Chairman Tuncay Yıldırım noted that despite all challenging conditions, exporter members continue to produce with determination and create value for the city and country, stating "I heartily congratulate our exporter members, businessmen and all employees." Chairman Yıldırım, emphasizing that they will continue to contribute to city exports through projects implemented for GTO members, continued as follows:

"With USD 957 million in exports achieved in September, we reached USD 7.7 billion in the nine-month period. With exports that increased 5.5 percent compared to the January-September 2021 period, I would like to express how high our city's export potential is. At every opportunity, we voice the concerns of our members, present solution proposals one after another, and undertake initiatives at every level with the reports we have prepared. We are going through difficult times. Everyone knows this. Our members, while struggling to survive under these challenging conditions, continuously contribute to production and employment. In other words, every person from Gaziantep does not make excuses regardless of circumstances, but pursues creating value. Our duty as GTO is to support this effort by our members. We are not making excuses; we are creating projects for our members. The most recent example of this is the B2B organization we held in recent days. At this important two-day organization, we brought together 38 international importer firms from 18 different countries with approximately 150 of our members. And within these two days, we facilitated more than 1,200 bilateral business meetings. I am firmly convinced that we will reap the fruits of these meetings abundantly in the coming months and years. We will witness our export figures increasing day by day. We will continue to support our members under all circumstances. Through the projects we create for them, the activities we conduct, and the organizations we arrange, we will continue to bring benefits to this city. Just as we voice our concerns loudly, we will support our members most strongly through our work."
