Albaraka Türk Provides TRY 363 Billion in Financing to the Real Economy

Albaraka Türk disclosed its financial results for the first half of 2026 to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP). The bank earned consolidated net profit of TRY 4 billion in the first six months of the year, while the total cash and non-cash financing provided to the real economy reached TRY 363 billion.
The bank's total assets rose to TRY 541.7 billion as of June 2026. In the same period, the non-performing loan ratio stood at 1.93%, while the capital adequacy ratio reached 17.05%.
Cash financing grew 20%
Albaraka Türk's cash credit volume increased 20% compared to end-2025, reaching TRY 284.3 billion. In a statement issued by the bank, it was noted that the increase in cash financing volume exceeded the banking sector average in the first half of 2026.
Funds collected through participation accounts and special current accounts rose to TRY 330 billion. Special current accounts accounted for 46.7% of total sources.

Net profit up 48%
Malek K. Temsah, Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Board of Directors of Albaraka Türk, stated in his assessment of the first half of the year that financing support to the real economy was maintained during a period marked by tight monetary policy and inflationary conditions.
According to information provided by Temsah, excluding the TRY 7 billion free provision that was reversed in the first quarter of 2025, the bank's consolidated net profit in the first half of 2026 increased 48% on an annual basis. The bank's average return on equity in the same period stood at 34.2%.
Technology and sustainability investments to continue
The bank plans to continue its investments in 2026 aimed at developing technology infrastructure, increasing accessibility of financial services, and developing digital banking solutions.
Albaraka Türk also announced its intention to expand its work in sustainability, supporting environmental and social benefit alongside generating economic value.
