PPG Introduces Purpose-Specific Paints

PPG has launched Paints with Purpose, a campaign showcasing extraordinary applications of next-generation paints and coatings technologies.

These include paints that can cool asphalt temperatures on a hot day to protect a dog's sensitive paws, coatings that can absorb sound or help reduce soiling, paints that aid the vision of autonomous, self-driving vehicles, and paint technologies that can be applied even on cold, humid days.

David Bem, Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Science and Technology at PPG, said: "When people talk about paint, they usually focus on beautifying an existing space in their home or creating your own style in a new place."

David Bem continued: "But the next generation of paints and coatings will do much more. Paints with Purpose aims to showcase real-life examples of how our products can help improve overall quality of life through paints—from easier application or added safety to greater comfort."

PPG will launch the global marketing campaign in the coming months and will highlight these unique applications and their impact on daily life.
