Axalta Appoints New Head of Industrial Coatings Business

Axalta Coating Systems Ltd. announced that Michael Cash, Senior Vice President and head of the Industrial Coatings business unit, has resigned effective 31 May 2019 to pursue a new opportunity outside the coatings industry.

Mr. Cash's responsibilities will be assumed by Rajeev Rao, currently Vice President of Global Powder Coatings and Business Development / Strategy, Industrial Coatings, and David Heflin, currently Vice President of Global Industrial Coatings Systems at Axalta.

Mr. Rao will continue to manage the powder coatings business unit, while Mr. Heflin will be appointed Vice President of Global Industrial Liquid Coatings and will oversee the general industrial coil coatings, wood coatings and energy solutions business units. Rao and Heflin will jointly manage the Industrial Coatings business unit and report directly to Robert Bryant, Chief Executive Officer of Axalta.

Mr. Bryant stated: "Both Rajeev and Dave are experienced executives with broad industry experience and deep knowledge of the strategic direction and future growth opportunities of our Industrial Coatings business unit. The leadership and guidance they will provide will help strengthen our business and talented team in line with our strategic priorities of prioritizing people, innovation, growth and performance. I have no doubt that Rajeev and Dave will continue the sustainable growth of our business unit and Axalta. I also want to thank Mike for his work over the past six years. Mike made significant contributions to shaping and growing our Industrial Coatings business unit. I wish him success in the future."
