Perstorp Strengthens Portfolio with Isononanoic Acid Specialty chemicals innovator Perstorp is expanding its value proposition for the Engineered Fluids and Resins & Coatings segments by adding Isononanoic Acid to its portfolio. Isononanoic acid is a critical carboxylic acid used in polyol ester synthetic lubricants, as a corrosion inhibitor in refrigerants, and in alkyd resins and paint driers. With this new launch, Perstorp will provide additional supply for applications where Isononanoic Acid contributes unique and critical properties. Highlighted benefits are consistent high quality and purity for advanced performance formulations. Its unique branched structure provides both stability and compatibility with today's and next-generation refrigerant gases. During pre-market trials conducted by customers, high quality and minimal formulation changes were confirmed.
