LANXESS Extends CEO Matthias Zachert's Contract
LANXESS AG Supervisory Board has extended the contract of Matthias Zachert (55) at its regular meeting, appointing him as Chief Executive Officer for another five years. Zachert's new term as Chief Executive Officer will begin on 1 April 2024.
LANXESS Supervisory Board Chairman Dr. Matthias Wolfgruber stated, "In just a few years, Matthias Zachert has consistently transformed LANXESS: from a commodity producer, LANXESS has truly become a specialty chemicals company. The Supervisory Board has full confidence that Matthias Zachert is the right person to fully leverage this potential and continue advancing the company in the years ahead." Zachert has been Chairman of the Board of Management of LANXESS AG since 1 April 2014.
