Jotun to Build New Production Facility in Abu Dhabi

Jotun, one of the world's leading paints and coatings manufacturers, has announced it will invest in a new production facility in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, as part of its growth strategy in the Middle East and North Africa region.

Jotun's Abu Dhabi subsidiary, under a long-term agreement with Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD) Group, has taken steps to establish an integrated production facility in the KEZAD Musaffah (ICAD) area. The new facility is planned to encompass production, sales and distribution activities for paints and coatings products.

83,000 Square Meter Integrated Production Area
The facility, to be implemented over an area of approximately 83,000 square meters, will provide broader and more modern infrastructure compared to Jotun's existing production area in Abu Dhabi. The new investment is aimed at significantly increasing the company's production capacity in the region and strengthening operational efficiency.

The total investment amount is stated to be at the level of AED 450 million, while the facility is expected to create approximately 200 additional jobs upon becoming operational.

Regional Growth and Supply Chain Strengthening
Jotun officials emphasized that the new facility to be established in Abu Dhabi will enable the company to respond more rapidly and effectively to growing demand in the Middle East market. The investment is expected to support product supply to many sectors, particularly construction, infrastructure, energy and industrial coatings.

KEZAD Group stated that this investment is among the strategic projects strengthening Abu Dhabi's industrial and manufacturing infrastructure and will contribute to non-oil economic growth objectives.
