Dow and Univar Solutions Announce Strategic Partnership for Low-Carbon Products

Dow and Univar Solutions have signed a long-term agreement to bring Decarbia products, part of Dow's low-carbon product portfolio, along with Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) certifications, to a broader customer base in global markets.

Dow and Univar Solutions have signed a long-term agreement to bring Decarbia low-carbon products from Dow's low-carbon product portfolio to a broader customer base in global markets, along with Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) certifications.

Under the agreement, Univar Solutions will distribute Dow's Decarbia low-carbon solutions in key markets including beauty and personal care, home care products, food, pharmaceuticals, and various industrial performance applications.

The collaboration aims to facilitate customer access to low-carbon products, scale solutions for sustainability targets, and support companies' Scope 3 emissions reduction efforts.

Transparency and Verifiable Data in Low-Carbon Solutions
The carbon footprint of Decarbia products developed by Dow is calculated in line with international standards. The company uses the Carbon Footprint Ledger methodology, which is evaluated within the scope of ISO 14067 and GHG Protocol Product Standard for product carbon footprint calculations.

This approach enables customers to access more transparent and verifiable data regarding the environmental impact of the products they use. Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) certifications help companies plan their sustainability strategies more effectively.

"We Are Contributing to Our Customers' Sustainability Goals"
Dow Executive Brendy Lange stated that the collaboration strengthens the long-term partnership with Univar Solutions, noting that the combination of Dow's low-carbon product portfolio and verifiable PCF data with Univar Solutions' extensive distribution network will provide significant advantages to customers.

Univar Solutions CEO David Jukes noted that the agreement will expand access to low-carbon products and offer customers more sustainable supply chain alternatives.

Demand for Sustainable Products Growing
Dow and Univar Solutions announced that they will continue to invest in sustainable product development and distribution capabilities in line with growing demand for low-carbon solutions in global markets.

The parties view the agreement as an important step in a long-term strategic partnership aimed at promoting the use of low-carbon products in support of short and long-term sustainability goals.
