Archroma Becomes a Partner of "The BHive®"
Archroma, a global leader in specialty chemicals for sustainable solutions, has announced it is a BHive® partner to help promote chemical compliance and management across the textile supply chain.
BHive® is an innovative digital chemical management platform that provides users with at-a-glance information about chemical products. Developed by GoBlu International Ltd., it enables production facilities to easily create digital inventories of chemical products used in the field using a smartphone. Brands and retail customers can determine in seconds which products meet their sustainability requirements and who they can share this information with.
This enables brands and retailers to achieve complete transparency on chemical use in their global supply chains. Currently, more than 30 international fashion brands and 500 factories are partnering with The BHive® to support sustainable chemistry in the textile and fashion industry.
More than 2,000 Archroma chemical products and dyes have now been added to The BHive® database. The company has been highly active in recent years in developing solution systems and innovations aligned with the three pillars of its motto: "Archroma's Way to a Sustainable World: Safe, efficient, advanced. This is our nature."
As part of this commitment, Archroma's global and local product management teams support customers in their efforts to comply with regulations, eco-certifications and brand requirements with timely and reliable information and documentation.
Paul Cowell, Head of Brand and Performance Textile Expertise Competence Centers at Archroma, explains: "With the pandemic crisis, textile manufacturers are experiencing numerous logistical bottlenecks and challenges. With BHive®, our partners now have an additional way to access information about the chemical use and compliance of Archroma products they hold at their facilities."
Lars Doemer, Chief Executive Officer of GoBlu International Ltd., adds: "We are delighted to announce our new partnership with Archroma and to support their efforts towards more sustainable chemistry in the textile industry. We look forward to working together in the future."
