Vitrin-Türkiye Contemporary Music Meetings to Showcase Turkey's Successful Musicians to the World

Vitrin – Türkiye Contemporary Music Meeting will take place for the third time between 3-6 July under the sponsorship of SOCAR Türkiye. International music professionals invited to Vitrin, which will be held as part of the 26th Istanbul Jazz Festival organized by İKSV this year, will watch Turkey's successful musicians perform on the festival stage. Additionally, two names selected by international delegates from among the musicians and ensembles participating in Vitrin will receive the "SOCAR Türkiye Silk Road Tour Support Award". Vitrin – Türkiye Contemporary Music Meeting, organized for the third time this year under SOCAR Türkiye's sponsorship, will meet music lovers between 3-6 July. Now a tradition within the Istanbul Jazz Festival, Vitrin will also host numerous live performances.

'One Nation, Two States' – We Move Forward with This Vision

SOCAR Türkiye Director of External Relations Murat LeCompte expressed great satisfaction at bringing the third edition of Vitrin – Türkiye Contemporary Music Meeting to life and contributing to the promotion of music produced in Turkey abroad. LeCompte stated: "We want to create lasting values for these lands. As Turkey's largest foreign investor, we move forward with the vision of 'One nation, two states' in every step we take. We are extending the centuries-long fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey not only to the economy but also to the social and cultural sphere. This time we will come together through the shared emotions that music will create. Our support for cultural events will continue in the same manner as before." Recalling that they also support a concert by a musician from Azerbaijan each year within the scope of the Istanbul Jazz Festival, LeCompte added: "In the first year we hosted the renowned pianist İsfar Sarabski, and last year we welcomed the equally renowned pianist Shahin Novrasli. This year the world-renowned pianist and composer Elchin Shirinov, bassist Panagiotis Andreou and drummer Engin Günaydın will present an unforgettable musical feast. This concert on 7 July will take place at the Sakıp Sabancı Museum." İKSV General Director Görgün Taner stated: "Creating strong and productive areas of interaction between Turkey and the international culture and arts arena is among the most important objectives of İKSV. We are pleased with the success achieved by our Vitrin event, where contemporary music produced in Turkey meets international music professionals, and I sincerely thank SOCAR Türkiye for their belief in the importance of this work and their continued support."
