Theater and Music Celebration at Enka

ENKA, a permanent supporter of culture and the arts, has a full schedule for its 31st Open-Air Meetings in August. Throughout events that will add color to summer evenings under the stars, the stage will host "Catch-22" on 6 August, "Is Art Eaten at Dinner?" on 8 August, "Karsu" on 20 August, and "Orchestra for Peace" on 27 August. At the first event of August, the ENKA stage welcomes the Semaver Kumpanya ensemble with "Catch-22," the entertaining story of Yossaryan stranded in the middle of World War II. Based on experiences lived by Joseph Heller and directed by Işıl Kasapoğlu, the play greets its audience on Tuesday, 6 August at 21:15. Shortly after being dramatized, Catch-22 joined the ranks of black comedy classics, set at an American base stationed in Italy and featuring the amusing moments of bomber pilot Yossaryan, who tries every possible way to escape flight duty. The Open-Air's next guest is the Semiha Berksoy Opera Foundation's "Is Art Eaten at Dinner?" play. The magnificent family comedy performed by Deniz Gökçer, Burçin Oraloğlu, Zeliha Berksoy, and Arda Meriçliler meets its audience at ENKA on Thursday, 8 August at 21:15. The play tells of events in the lives of a couple celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary, featuring a discussion launched by three theater actors along with chaos about art, competition programs in the media, television series, and theater.
