Milky Chance

International music scene rising star Milky Chance, with their unforgettable songs and spectacular stage performances, takes the stage at Zorlu PSM on 27 June! Before any fire erupts, it needs a spark. For Milky Chance, that spark was the song "Stolen Dance." Selected as the most discussed track on Hype Machine, the piece that ranked number one for weeks in dozens of countries was followed by "Down by the River" and "Flashed Junk Mind." Their debut album "Sadnecessary," which included "Stolen Dance" and other songs, was released later that same year. Native Kassel residents Clemens Rehbein and Philipp Dausch, the German duo of Milky Chance, began their journey as childhood friends. Noting that Kassel holds an important place in their musical lives, Philipp continues with the words, "It feels like everything becomes easier when you can focus on what you really want to do without being disturbed by big city life." As good friends, their post-university dreams of touring Europe by bus took on another dimension thanks to "Stolen Dance." The duo's journey takes them from the grass of Glastonbury to the desert of Coachella and the Lollapalooza stage. For Milky Chance, constantly moving from concert to concert and growing increasingly renowned, being on the road is as important as being home. This duality, also visible in their soft yet characterful melodies, is the greatest proof that Milky Chance draws from both the new and the existing. As the echoes of 2014's Sadnecessary continued, in 2017, following the tracks "Blossom" and "Cocoon," they released their second album titled "Blossom" to their fans. The album, which speaks to resilience and the ability to turn inward and reflect on ourselves, resonated just as much as Sadnecessary. Milky Chance's inimitable, unique sound encompasses many different genres including folk, reggae, electronic and pop.
