The Fascinating World of Yeasts at CerModern Flow

First exhibition in "Mysterious Worlds" series, 'Mayas', opens at CerModern Flow from 1 October with immersive visuals and digital experience

CerModern, one of Turkey's leading art centers preparing to celebrate its 15th anniversary, is opening the doors to a completely different world for art enthusiasts.

CerModern Flow Digital Stage, which combines high technology with light, sound, color and visual narratives to offer visitors an extraordinary art experience, is hosting yet another unique exhibition.

The first exhibition of the "Mysterious Worlds" concept, 'Mayas', opened at CerModern Flow as of 1 October. Art enthusiasts will embark on a journey to the heart of Maya civilization through Flow's 280 square-meter image walls; they will watch the architecture of the Mayas and their mystical relationships with nature and the universe through poetic presentation. Prepared in collaboration with Reotek, the exhibition will give visitors the opportunity to examine closely the social, cultural and artistic heritage of Maya civilization that has reached our time.

In the first section of the exhibition, the social, cultural, spatial and belief worlds of the Mayas are interpreted through an experiential approach, while in the second section, an exploratory experience is offered to enable deeper understanding of the contents.

The journey begins in a cave, one of the first human settlements in history, and continues through a shaman's dream with an environmental experience regarding the Mayas' relationships with nature, cities, temples and astrology. At this stage, visitors are greeted with a presentation enriched with imagery about the Mayas' socio-cultural, spatial and belief systems.

In the second section, the Dresden Codex, one of the most important written works of Maya civilization, is displayed as a digital archive. Additionally, historical objects containing symbolic elements relating to the Mayas' nature, culture and beliefs are on display. In the final part of the exhibition, it is possible to trace the contemporary social, cultural and artistic heritage of the Maya people.

This unique digital exhibition can be viewed every hour starting from 14:00 until 19:00 every day of the week except Monday.
