LP, in a concert organized by Istanbul Culture and Art Foundation in collaboration with Pasion Turca, will perform on Sunday, 1 April in the Main Theater at Zorlu Performing Arts Center. The Istanbul Jazz Festival is preparing to celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2018. The festival's 25th anniversary special guest will be Laura Pergolizzi, known as LP, a singer, songwriter and distinctive voice in music, recognized worldwide for her song "Lost On You." LP, who has written hit songs for music industry stars including Rihanna, Cher, Backstreet Boys, Cher Lloyd and many others, made her first major breakthrough in 2014 with her album "Forever For Now." The track "Into The Wild" from the album became the background music for major advertising campaigns worldwide. Drawing audiences with her songs and voice at the world's most famous music festivals and beyond, LP released "Death Valley" on Vagrant Records in 2016.The song "Lost On You" from the album, which listeners cannot get out of their minds, has been played 170 million times on YouTube and 80 million times on Spotify. "My songs have a sense of 'clinging to life' that emerges naturally and touches listeners' heartstrings. I want to show people that it is possible to do what they want in their own way," says LP, who earned three platinum records in Italy; platinum in France, Poland and Germany; and gold in Switzerland. "Death Valley," featuring her signature song "Lost on You," became a turning point for both the artist and modern rock. Meanwhile, her track "Muddy Waters" etched the climactic scene of the fourth season of the series Orange is the New Black into memory. LP, bearing traces of her distinctive character in melodies and lyrics that transcend time, will perform her memorized hit songs such as "Lost On You" and "Other People" at her Turkey concerts with her ukulele, which she never lets out of her hands, and her touching voice.
