Loft Art in the Spotlight with the Symbio Exhibition
Loft Art in Spotlight with Symbio Exhibition
Loft Art, an art space developed under Akfen Holding's corporate social responsibility initiative, opened its doors to its second exhibition, Symbio, at its venue in Istanbul Beşiktaş Nisbetiye On. The Loft Art Symbio exhibition features works by 15 independent artists in canvas, sculpture, installation and video installation, presenting a new concept examining the cohabitation of humans and machines in the rapidly developing digital age.
Loft Art, developed by Akfen Holding, one of Turkey's leading investment groups, as a corporate social responsibility project in the arts, brought its second exhibition, Symbio, to art enthusiasts following the highly discussed Humano exhibition.
The preview of the Symbio exhibition, held on Tuesday, 22 February in the evening under the patronage of Akfen Holding Board Chairman Hamdi Akın, was attended by a large gathering of guests comprised of artists and collectors.
Exhibition to Welcome Visitors Until 22 April 2022
Through the Symbio exhibition at Loft Art, the concept of symbiotic relations—wherein two different living organisms in life are mutually dependent, and in psychology represent complementary relationships with opposing attitudes and behaviours—is reflected in the artworks. While the works present a new concept examining the cohabitation of humans and machines in the rapidly developing digital age, they explore how the two components feed each other, their impact on creating a new world, and question humanity's future existence by incorporating the emotional transitions in this inquiry. The Loft Art Symbio exhibition, which opened its doors on 23 February, can be visited at its venue in Istanbul Nisbetiye On until 22 April.Advertisement
