Lamb
Drawing inspiration from diverse music genres such as downtempo, drum'n'bass, and jazz, the Manchester-based English electronic music group Lamb is known for their unique style. They're performing on 4 December at Zorlu PSM Studio!
Comprised of producer Andrew Barlow and vocalist Louise Rhodes, Lamb entered the music world in 1995 with a six-album deal with Mercury Records.
The duo released their self-titled debut album in 1996, but their real breakthrough came with "Gabriel" from their third album "What Sound".
Contributing to their popularity through appearances in various media such as Guinness advertisements and the video game Tomb Raider: Underworld, their song "Górecki", inspired by Henryk Górecki's 3rd Symphony "The Symphony Of Sorrowful", garnered just as much attention as Gabriel.
Throughout their career, Lamb has released 7 albums and numerous tracks. They create their distinctive sound by combining contrasting, complex melodies with emotional vocals in their songs.
The single "We Fall in Love" from the group's 2014 album Backspace Unwind was awarded "Best Chillout/Lounge Track" by the International Dance Music Awards 2015.
