King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard

What is Gezgin Salon? It started in 2017 when Salon outgrew its venue and took to the streets. It brought artists including Kiasmos, Pantha du Prince, Pional and many others to thousands of people at Beykoz Kundura.

In its second edition, it will host King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard again on 5 August at KüçükÇiftlik Park, following intense demand after the band became the year's music event. Founded in Australia in 2011, the sacred geography that introduced names like Tame Impala, Pond, and Jagwar Ma to our lives. With their raw and dirty recordings recalling the psychedelic music explosion of the 1960s, some say they reinvented the record. They worked with extraordinary productivity, fitting three albums into a year. Their genre-hopping albums, completely different concepts, and records produced almost individually increased their global recognition rapidly. Being deeply immersed in Turkish melodies, hints of Aşık Veysel and greetings they sent from Primaveras, Turkey arguably became the country where they are most listened to. Tickets for their three consecutive nights of concerts at Salon sold out within 24 hours. Now they meet their fans outdoors on 5 August in Maçka.
