DYO Adds Color to Beşiktaş's Stairs
Turkey's most established paints brand DYO continues to bring colour to all aspects of our lives at home and abroad as it marks 65 years in operation. Collaborating with Beşiktaş Municipality on the "Stairs are Getting Colour" project, DYO brings life to the city through its colours. Active in many cultural and artistic endeavours, DYO supports street art and contributes to art gradually spreading through the city.
DYO participates in the "Stairs are Getting Colour" project launched by Beşiktaş Municipality to contribute to urban culture, supporting the "colouring" of life. The project connects city residents with street art, bringing colour to grey staircases.
The project began in three different neighbourhoods in Beşiktaş, with staircases painted in DYO paints by street artists transforming the atmosphere of the districts.
Art Spills onto the Streets of Beşiktaş through DYO's Support
The dog design on the stairs of Türkali Neighbourhood Dizi Street was created by artist Somon, the grouper fish design on the stairs of Ortaköy Neighbourhood Asmalı Hamam Street was created by artist Rakun, and the geometric patterns on the stairs of Abbasağa Neighbourhood Kalkan Street were created by artist Max on Duty. Continuing to invest in culture and the arts, DYO draws attention through its work on how the concept of "colour" is addressed across different disciplines, from contemporary art to architecture, music to philosophy. As colours spread from street staircases into the city, people encounter art step by step.Advertisement
